Despite their boldly unusual name, there isn't a lot of info out there about Sex Of Insects as they lurk patiently under the radar. Their brave new cut 'I Can Hear The Light' is an exciting experimental journey of improvised guitar, doused in delay, reverb and some good old fashioned flange, which dances beautifully over shuffling trip-poppy drums and groovy-as-hell bass guitar. Layers build gradually and catchy vocal hooks are scattered generously throughout as the track switches between moments of analogue synth interludes, and full-band moments which burst into life. 'I Can Hear The Light' is taken from an EP, which is due out on the 21st of July and promises to be a cracker. - HLMX
